Save the Penguins!

Today we finished our penguin unit by watching Happy Feet and discussing all the aspect of the movie (the types of penguins, the adaptations they had, the predators, the habitats, etc.)

After watching Happy Feet, the students had to build a nest to save the penguins! We used ice cubes as the penguins and a lamp to be the sun.

Phonics	long I (igh) I can read and write words that have the long i sound made with igh.
Comprehension	I can distinguish between information provided by pictures or other illustrations and information provided by the words in a text.
Language	I can correctly use singular and plural nouns with matching verbs in basic sentences.
Writing	I can write about an informative topic giving a few facts.
